KIWA members, staff, and board are excited to announce that our 25th Anniversary Celebration will take place Saturday, September 9th, 2017. This is a big milestone in our organization’s history. We are planning a special event that will honor important friends and allies from KIWA’s past to celebrate alongside more recent partners. The theme of the event builds upon our community panel and artifact show held in April: “The Fires That Still Burn”.
During our 25th Anniversary Celebration, we will commemorate the achievements and contributions of those who have helped us build collective power from 1992 all the way to 2017. While the challenges that await us these next several years are immense, if there is anything that history can teach it is that united, we can move mountains.
The event will be held at Immanuel Presbyterian Church (3300 Wilshire Blvd., entrance on Berendo St.) There will be a diverse array of food, delicious drinks (including soju mojitos!), and plenty of music. An opening reception and art auction will begin at 4pm, and dinner starts promptly at 5:30pm.
Tickets, ads, and packages can be purchased here.
