Alexandra Suh


A supporter of KIWA since she moved to Los Angeles in 2002, Alexandra Suh joined KIWA’s staff in 2009 and became executive director in 2011. Suh has twenty years’ experience in social justice work and holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University. In 2014, California Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez honored her as 53rd Assembly District Woman of the Year. Suh was named one of LA Weekly’s People 2014 and is the recipient of Liberty Hill’s 2014 Changemaker Award. She was a member of the 2014-15 cohort of the Fellowship for a New California through the Rockwood Leadership Institute and serves on the board of the LA County Federation of Labor (LA Fed)National Immigration Law Center (NILC), and Enlace. She lives in Koreatown with her partner and two children. She seeks to bring ecological awareness together with organizing and advocacy for social and economic justice–to create a livable Koreatown, Los Angeles, and world.


2002년 로스앤젤레스로 이사한 이후 줄곧 한인타운노동연대 후원자였던 알렉산드라 서 소장은 2009년 한인타운노동연대 직원으로 일하기 시작했으며 2011년 소장직을 맡게 되었습니다. 서 소장은 지난 20여년간 사회정의를 위한 운동에 헌신 해 왔으며 콜럼비아대학에서 박사학위를 받았습니다. 남편 토마스와 두명의 아들과 함께 현재 한인타운에 살고 있습니다. 서 소장은 생태학적인 깨달음과 사회경제적정의를 위한 운동을 결합하여 한인타운, 로스앤젤레스, 나아가 모든 세상이 보다 살만한 곳이 될 수 있도록 변화 시키는데 주력하고 있습니다.

Alexandra Suh, Directora Ejecutiva. Una seguidora de KIWA desde que se mudó a Los Angeles en 2002, Alexandra se unió al personal de KIWA en 2009 y se convirtió en la Directora Ejecutiva en 2011. Alexandra cuenta con veinte años de experiencia en el trabajo de la justicia social. Ella tiene un doctorado de la Universidad de Columbia. Alexandra vive en Koreatown con su compañero Tom y dos niños pequeños. Trata de crear conciencia ecológica, junto con organización y promoción de la justicia social y económica para crear un mundo habitable en Koreatown, Los Angeles, y en el mundo.
